About Us

Switched On Security Inc. (SOS) is a licensed, and insured Firearms Training  Agency based in Simcoe County that provides Firearms Safety Training as well as Hunter Education Courses.  

 Ian and Sherry MacGregor present the Firearms Safety Courses on a regular basis to persons wanting a Possession Acquisition License for rifle, shotgun as well as handgun ownership.   

Hunter Education Courses are also presented to persons interested acquiring a license to hunt large and small game.

SOS is comprised of Experienced Security Specialist and Firearms Trainers.

• Ian has over 30 years of service with the Ontario Provincial Police, which have been characterized by continuous learning, and diversification of skills which included qualified Canadian Firearms Safety Instructor in presenting both the  Non Restricted and Restricted  Firearms Courses. 

• Sherry is a firearms enthusiast and a qualified Canadian Firearms Safety Instructor in presenting both the  Non Restricted and Restricted  Firearms Courses.
• Sherry has experience as a police dispatcher and as an underwriter in the insurance industry.

• Both Sherry and Ian have worked extensively to build a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience in the policing, security and firearms community.
